Welcome to The Brain Injury Centers

Imagine a knock on your door at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. You are abruptly awakened and disoriented. Stumbling in the dark clicking on lights, what thoughts would run through your mind? Did someone lose a key, or break down on the side of the road?

Dr. John Galewaler, a well-known and much loved country doctor of small town Whitesboro, Texas just might have an idea. He indeed was awakened at 2:00 a.m., and could not have imagined what would follow as he squinted to indentify the figure at his door. The police officer at the door informed the doctor that his son, Sean Galewaler had been air lifted to a hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Mummified, Dr. John moved effortlessly as if being led by creature of habit. He found himself by his son’s bedside. The doctors did not hold out much hope for Sean, but there was a greater plan being birthed. It was not for the doctors to decide. God had a plan for this country doctor. Unaware, weary and impaired by the reality of his son’s plight, Dr. John, although a practicing physician, found himself feeling helpless.

Sounds like something right out of Hollywood? It’s not. It’s smack dab in the heart of small town Whitesboro, Texas. From this doctor’s tragedy THE BRAIN INJURY CENTERS (TBIC) were conceived. Tragedy turned hope, as one man takes on his Goliath to erect a brain injury center to not only care for the victims, but the families as well.

Sean is very much alive, being housed at a nursing facility near Whitesboro, Texas waiting for Phase I of The Brain Injury Centers to be completed. He is not alone, as many families desperately seek help for their love ones suffering from this silent killer and robber of hope. Dr. John Galewaler and TBIC needs your help; be one of smooth stones to help slay this Goliath. To contact us click on the "contact us" tab.
